From October 20 - November 2, 2018, the East Asia Library will host a pop-up exhibition in the third floor display cases featuring paintings produced by students in ART245: The Art of Lotus in Chinese Brush Painting, taught by Felix Chan Lim, Ph.D. and Bobbi Makani-Lim, Ph.D.
Stanford University will host two lectures by the renowned scholar and author Pai Hsien-yung on 10/24 and 10/25. A documentary on Prof. Pai's life and scholarship will be screened at the East Asia Library on the evening of 10/23.
Acquisitions Department is pleased to welcome Kari Simonsen as the new Ordering Specialist.
Kari will initially be responsible for ordering resources in the subject areas of Germanic Studies and Medieval Studies. She will be assigned additional ones in the future.
Kari has recently worked at C.V. Starr East Asian Library at UC Berkeley as an administrative assistant and Aunt Lute Books as an editor/marketing associate. In her previous roles, she was also involved with graphic and UX design.
