ePADD Project Makes Strides!

ePADD, a software package being developed by Stanford University's Special Collections & University Archives that supports archival processes around the ingest, appraisal, processing, discovery, and delivery of email archives, is undergoing significant changes in the ramp up to the first public release scheduled for late April. Recent updates include UI developments and new search functionality.

 

 

ePADD is transitioning to a more intuitive interface to improve the experience for ePADD users, and we are very pleased with the progress so far.

 

 

 

ePADD allows donors, curators, and collection processing staff to identify potentially private or confidential materials through a combination of advanced search features, lexicon analysis, entity extraction/analysis, and other automated processes. ePADD's search functionality has recently been updated to include regular expression strings, including social security numbers and credit card numbers, which will help make this process even more comprehensive.

 

The NHPRC-funded project ends on June 30, 2015.
