South African author Nadine Gordimer instructing Marcum to send his book on Angola discretely packaged:
Flier for a 1964 appearance by anti-apartheid activist and filmmaker Nana Mahomo. Mahomo's U.S. lecture tour was arranged by Marcum. Active in the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC), Mahomo had left South Africa in March 1960. He was Marcum's best man when he married his wife Gwendolyn in Menlo Park.
