Databases of the week: the reference multiverse of the Information Center (IC)

Here are several databases you can consult to find news, book reviews, dissertations, and general reference materials.

Access World Newsprovides full-text articles from local, regional, national, and international sources. Access World News also features special reports and “hot topics” that focus on current issues.

Book Review DIgest provides access to book reviews on a wide range of topics from a variety of sources, including newspapers, review journals and popular magazines.

Blackwell Reference Onlineoffers full-text access to reference works in the humanities, social sciences, and business and management.

ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Globalis a searchable and browsable database of dissertations and theses from around the world, spanning from 1743 to the present day. It also offers full text for graduate works added since 1997, along with selected full text for works written prior to 1997.

Reference Universe is a database of back-of-the-book indexes to subject encyclopedias and other reference works in a wide variety of subject areas
