Maker Cart at Engineering Library

Maker Cart

Are you working on a project that applies a variety of digital, electronic and hand tools such as 3D printing, Arduino microprocessors, soldering, assembling and others? We built a mobile cart with maker equipment and tools for you! This is now available for checkout at the engineering library. The cart comprises the following items (with additions in the coming weeks, based on need/requests):

  • Rolling toolbox
  • Dremel Digilab 3D20 3D Printer
  • Chromebook 11 – 3180 Education
  • Soldering Kit
  • DuinoKit DKE and Accessories Essentials/Pack
  • Arduino Based Discovery System
  • 20awg Electronics Wire
  • Colored Wire Kit (20G Flexible Silicone)
  • Heat Shrink Tubing
  • Hi-Spec 120 pc Home & Garage ToolKit

As a student, faculty or researcher, you may check the mobile maker cart out for periods from a few hours to a day. You will be required to complete the EHS 4200 General Safety training (found in Axess – about 60 minutes, and meets requirements for other Stanford labs), and also take a 15 minute orientation with the maker cart including the Electrical Safety (EHS-2800) training before checking it out. In order to ensure your safety and to improve the experience for future users, we may shadow you during the checkout period.

Feel free to reach out to Joseph Makokha (makokha@stanford.edu) at the Engineering Library with any questions or comments.
