Stanford Libraries recently launched a new feature within SearchWorks called articles+. This new search feature provides access to hundreds of thousands of academic journal, magazine and news articles, book chapters, some dissertations, conference proceedings, and more from thousands of databases in a single search.
Digital Library Systems and Services is hosting the second annual Digital Library Services Expo and all SUL staff are invited! This is a great opportunity to learn more about inside the DLSS organization, what's new on the service front, and examples of our collaborations with other SUL staff to develop and deliver library services.
It is scheduled for Thursday, April 19 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. The event will take place in several rooms in Lathrop Library (370 and 470) and the East Asia Library (224). We will enjoy ice cream together after a series of tracked programs.
The month of April not only marks the beginning of a new quarter at Stanford but it is also a month filled with many happenings in and around the Stanford Libraries. And, if you haven't done so already, be sure to see the Green Library exhibit, Facing the World: Type Design in Global Perspective, which will be closing April 22.

Training for new Building Assessment Team members has been scheduled for April 12th from 8:30 to 11:45 in the Tresidder Union Oak Lounge. This year, training will be offered for NEW team members only. Refresher training will take place again in 2019.

Earth Day, April 22nd, is coming up soon. The American Chemical Society has expanded activities and events to a week: Chemists Celebrate Earth Week. This year's theme is "Diving into Marine Chemistry." To commemorate Earth Day/Week, the ACS Silicon Valley Section and the Stanford Libraries are holding an event at the Hopkins Marine Station in Pacific Grove on Saturday, April 28, from 1:30-3:30 pm. It will include a talk followed by tours (see flyer). Please join us for this free, family-friendly event.

At a ceremony held on February 21, 2018, the East Asia Library commemorated Dr. Moses Li's generous donation of a full set of the recently published Wenlan Ge Siku quanshu 文瀾閣四庫全書 in 1599 volumes.
