Stanford Libraries welcomes Laurence Cefalu

I am pleased to announce Laurence Cefalu started today as the facilities specialist for maintenance and security and will report to Jacob Cohn. Laurence graduated from Arizona State University in 2018 with a degree in political science and a certification in applied business data analytics. Laurence also earned his certified associate in project management from the Project Management Institute. After graduating from ASU, he served as the Administrative Coordinator with the Haas Center for Public Service.

I’m pleased to announce that Thib Guicherd-Callin has accepted the continuing role of Assistant Director and Program Manager for LOCKSS. Thib brings unsurpassed experience and skills to this role. He joined the LOCKSS Program as a Summer intern in 2005 and has been with it since then.

Proposal Establishing an Open Access Policy and Related Operations at Stanford

C-LIB, the Faculty Senate Committee on Libraries, is pleased to be bringing forward a proposal to establish an Open Access policy at Stanford.  The proposal will come before the Faculty Senate at their session on November 19th.  In advance of that session, C-LIB will be hosting a discussion session via Zoom this Friday, October 30th at 2:00 PM.
