I project-manage the Linked Data for Production initiative and Stanford's adoption of the FOLIO integrated library system.
Linked Data for Production is a Mellon Foundation-funded collaboration to enable libraries to use linked data to describe their resources. Linked data promises to make library resources more accessible beyond the library, to enhance library-based discovery with related information from the wider web, and to create new knowledge from existing but previously unlinked data.
FOLIO is an open-source library services platform, which Stanford is adopting for key library functions including acquisitions, circulation, and metadata management.
