Location
We are located on the Stanford University campus, in the Bing Wing of Green Library.
Our entrance is located off of the Library’s Rotunda on the second floor. Proceed through the door to the stairwell (you’ll know you’re in the right place if the walls are covered in map murals) and walk up to the fourth floor. Ring the doorbell and a staff member will come and let you in.
If you need elevator access, please use the elevator closest to the Bing Wing entrance and proceed up to the 4th floor. Ring the doorbell and a staff member will come and let you in.
Transportation

- CalTrain - local commuter rail between San Francisco and San Jose.
- Marguerite Shuttle - Stanford's free public shuttle service, which travels around campus and connects to nearby transit, shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Parking
If you are driving, we strongly recommend parking in Parking Structure 6, also known as the Wilbur Field Underground Parking Garage. It's a short walk to The David Rumsey Map Center. Be sure to park in visitor parking spaces, and pay using the parking permit machines. You can also use the Parkmobile app to pay for your space.
