Limited access to physical spaces
Green Library, the East Asia Library, Marine Biology (Miller Library), the Business Library, and the Hoover Library & Archives are open for Stanford ID cardholders only. Special Collections, the Music Library, and the Archive of Recorded Sound are open for Stanford ID cardholders, by appointment only.
Hours and and occupancy limits have been reduced to comply with County safety guidelines. Please be aware of our access restrictions and entry requirements before planning your visit to the Libraries.
When visiting Green Library, you will need to use the Bing Wing entrance due to the Hohbach Hall renovation project.
In order to visit the Libraries, you must have a valid, active Stanford ID card. You also must:
- Complete the required training.
- Participate in the surveillance testing program if required by University policy (instructions for faculty, staff, and postdocs and for students).
- Use the Stanford Health Check Tool the day of your visit. You will be required to show your "green" Health Check Tool status in order to enter the library.
- Face coverings are optional for patrons who are fully vaccinated. For those who are not fully vaccinated or decline to state their status on Health Check, face coverings and physical distancing will continue to be required, as per Stanford University policy.
Our Access and privileges page includes the full list of access restrictions and entry requirements for library visits.
