Course reserves

Course reserves are specific library resources that instructors have identified for use in their courses.

For students

Finding reserved items

  1. Visit the Course reserves pages in Searchworks.
  2. Browse or search by course ID, description, or instructor name.
  3. Click the course ID to see the reserve list.
  4. Use the online links provided in SearchWorks. Refer to Connecting to e-resources if you have trouble accessing the resource.

Note: Your instructor may also have placed online course materials or links in Canvas.

Using reserved items

Be considerate of your classmates. Some online resources allow just one user at a time. Be sure to exit, log off, or return the item when you are finished.

For instructors

Use the Request Course Reserves form to request electronic resources for your course. Library staff will work quickly to obtain or license a digital surrogate. If a digital surrogate cannot be found in a timely manner, library staff will notifiy you and can assist with other options.
