Research Library Cooperative Program

Borrowing from UC Berkeley

Check your home catalog first. You cannot request materials that are available at your home institution.

Stanford researchers

Submit an Interlibrary Borrowing request for each item you'd like to request. Requests are first sent to BorrowDirect. If your request can't be filled by BorrowDirect, we will check UC Berkeley.

If your request is filled by RLCP Direct from Berkeley:

  • We will email you when your items are available at Green Library’s circulation desk. Article and chapter copies are usually delivered electronically in four to seven working days.
  • You need a UC Berkeley account to view and renew your RLCP items. Contact UC Berkeley privileges to create an account or if you have trouble signing in.
  • You can also check out materials at UC Berkeley’s libraries. Be sure to review the on-site access and borrowing policies before visiting.

UT Austin researchers

  1. Request from UC Berkeley via UT Austin Interlibrary Borrowing.
  2. Articles will be delivered to you electronically. You will receive email instructions that explain how to download requested items. Books and other hard copy materials will be delivered to your library in about two weeks.
